yes, the first universal binary release, which means it runs on both, PPC and intel. compared to the PPC-only version there are few acts missing: analyze@, kastro@, paf@, autocount, prozonehole@, prpothole@. so if you rely on one of these, you have to get the ..OSX_PPC release and if you are on an intel, you have to run max 4.5.7 under rosetta then.

this is a try to have only one file for all possible osx situations (intel or PPC, max 4.5.7 or max 4.6.x). you will need to do an additional step of installation, depending on your max-version. described in the read-me.
